Local SEO
Local SEO for West Valley small businesses
Local SEO is how a business shows up when someone nearby searches for what you do. I handle it for small businesses in Surprise and across the West Valley, on the site you already have or one I build, and I show you the numbers so you always know what you got.
What local SEO actually is
When a customer searches for a plumber, a hearing specialist, or a wedding venue near them, Google shows a map with a short list of businesses. Getting on that list depends on a few things:
Your Google Business Profile
The listing people see first. It has to be complete, accurate, and active.
Reviews
More reviews, answered in your voice, tell Google and customers you are the real thing.
Details that agree everywhere
Your name, address, and phone number matching across your site, your Google listing, and the directories.
A fast site that works on a phone
Google checks, and so do your customers.
How I measure it
The map scan
Google does not show everyone the same map. It shows the three businesses closest to the person searching, so where you rank depends on where they are standing. A map scan checks that from many spots at once.
- Not in the list
- Found, below the top three
- Top three on the map
The pin is your business. Each dot is one search for what you do, made from that spot on the map, the way a customer standing there would see it. A green dot means you are in the top three there, the part of the map people actually tap. Gold means you show up, further down. Red means you are not in the list at all.
I run the grid across the neighborhoods you serve, not just your own block. That is the difference between knowing you rank and knowing where you rank, and it is what tells us where the work needs to go next.
Every Always On + SEO client gets a baseline scan before the work starts, then a fresh scan every quarter, side by side with the last one.
What a quarter looks like
Before and after, on the same grid
Map work moves from the center out. The first green shows up around your own neighborhood, then spreads as the profile, the reviews and the details catch up.
Both grids are illustrations of a typical path, not a specific client's results. Yours comes from a real scan, and you see it before anything is agreed.
What I do
There are two ways I work, and the difference is simple. Always On keeps your site healthy and re-checks the setup every quarter, including a fresh scan of the map. Always On + SEO adds the work that moves the map on purpose:
- Your Google listing kept accurate and complete
- Fresh posts on your Google Business Profile
- Depending on the plan, review requests that go out automatically after a job wraps, and responses in your voice
- A written page each month, aimed at a search nobody local is answering
- A quarterly strategy call
- A periodic report with your call count, straight from Google's own numbers
Always On + SEO includes everything in Always On, on one invoice. It works with any site, including one I did not build.
How you know it worked
I do not promise rankings. What I promise is that you will see the result. Every quarter I scan the map for your business and show you the before and after, and the periodic report shows how many calls your Google listing produced.
What the report shows
Four things, in plain words
Your call count
How many people called, texted or asked for directions from your Google listing, straight from Google's own numbers. Not clicks, not impressions. Calls.
The map, before and after
This quarter's scan next to the last one, so the change is something you can see, not something I describe.
What the assistants say
I ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot the questions your customers ask, and show you whether your name comes up and what they say about you.
Reviews and replies
What came in, what was answered, and what the reviews say people value about you, which feeds the next month's posts.
Most agencies will not tell you this
Map work has a finish line.
Ranking on the map works, and it takes months of steady effort to get there. It also costs money every month, and most agencies are happy to let that run for years.
I do it differently. Every quarter I scan the map for your business and show you the before and after. When you are showing up in the top three across most of the neighborhoods you serve, I will tell you so, and step you down to Always On. The quarterly scan keeps running there, so if the map ever slides, stepping back up is one conversation.
And if after two quarters the map has not moved, I will tell you that too. The map spend stops, and I will show you where that money would work harder.
Either way, you hear it from me first.
Where it can go from here
Once the base is working
The monthly work covers what moves most maps. When a business wants to go further, these are the pieces I add on, each one quoted on its own.
Competitor scans
The same grid run for the businesses that outrank you, so we can see exactly where they win and what they have that you do not.
More searches, more often
A scan for each of the searches that matter to you, not just the main one, run monthly instead of quarterly while a push is on.
Profile watch
Google lets the public suggest edits to your listing. A watch catches a changed phone number, hours or category before a customer does.
AI visibility report
A deeper look at how the assistants describe you, which sources they lean on, and what to publish so the answer gets better.
Review analysis
What your reviews say people value, in their words, and what the competitors' reviews say they are missing.
More locations
A second office, a second business, or a service area that outgrew the first grid. Each one gets its own scan and its own line in the report.
Who this is for
Businesses whose customers search by neighborhood and call from their phone: contractors, home care, hearing care, realtors, estheticians, inspectors, event rentals, trainers and coaches. If the map matters to you and you already have a site you like, this is the work that runs on it. If you need the site too, it starts with a Business Site, which is wired in from day one.
